Martin G. Prado, MD

Martin G. Prado, MD is a board certified gastroenterologist. Dr. Prado attended medical school at the Cebu Institute of Medicine in the Philippines. He completed his internal medicine residency at the John Dempsey Hospital Health Center, in Farmington, Connecticut and went on to get his gastroenterology fellowship at the Yale Affiliated Gastroenterology Program Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven.

Maria Soriano Co, MD

Maria Soriano Co, MD is recognized as one of the first gastroenterologists in Volusia County to offer Endoscopic Ultrasound. Dr. Co is Board Certified in Gastroenterology and Hepatology, as well as Internal Medicine. She is on staff at Florida Hospital Deland (FHD). Dr. Co takes care of patients with diseases of digestive system, including stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, and pancreas. She performs both routine endoscopic procedures (such as upper endoscopy and colonoscopy) as well as advanced endoscopic procedures (endoscopic ultrasound, enteroscopy, pH monitoring). She is the main gastroenterologist at FHD who does the endoscopic ultrasound, video capsule endoscopy and esophageal manometry. She is also one of the main gastroenterologist at FHD who treats liver conditions (such as Hepatitis C).

Dr. Co earned her undergraduate degree of Biology at University of the Philippines and medical degree from University of Santo Tomas Philippines. She received Bene Meritus and Cum Laude Honors with her medical degree. She once served as a councilor at the University of the Philippines College of Science Student council. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency and Gastroenterology/Hepatology Fellowship at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI. She was the Chief Fellow in her last year of Gastroenterology fellowship.

Dr. Co has published several papers in major medical journals and presented abstracts at national meetings. She received recognition for her oral presentation at the American College of Physician, Michigan Chapter in 2009 and 2010. In addition, she is a member of several national professional organizations.

Dr. Co has given several lectures regarding common digestive diseases at Florida Hospital. She believes communication is the foundation to building good patient relationship. She resides in Deland, Florida and has a strong commitment to the welfare and medical care of the people in the community.

Candice Ings-Jackson MSN, ARNP-BC is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner through American Nurses Credentialing Center. Candice has been providing skilled and compassionate care in Nursing since 2000. She encourages wellness and prevention. She can prescribe medicine and treat most conditions. She is committed to providing the best, customized treatment plan for each patient. Mrs. Ings-Jackson has had previous experiences in Corrections, Mother Baby, Labor and Delivery, Family Medicine, Retail Medicine, and now specializing in Gastroenterology in collaboration with the Physicians of Digestive Health Specialists.

Candice studied Nursing at University of Florida earning her Associates of Arts, LPN at Orlando Tech, advancing her education earning an Associates of Science in Nursing from Valencia Community College, Bachelor of Science in Nursing at University of Central Florida (UCF), and Masters of Science in Nursing from UCF with a certificate for Family Practice.
